The Joie Roomie Glide crib is a crib that can be placed at the bedside, allowing parents to stay with their baby while ensuring they are resting safely. The cot's slide-away side panel can be raised and lowered with the touch of the button, making it a breeze to reach in and soothe a baby in the night. It comes with 11 height adjustments to fit nearly any mattress size, and adjustable folding feet so that it is at the right height.

Contrary to other cribs that are bedside, the Roomie Glide is suitable for most beds, including divans thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when it's not connected to your bed and it's full of amazing features that are specifically designed with the bonding between parents and babies in mind.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that although this crib is ideal for infants, it will not last long after your child is six months old, and you will need to invest in an additional cot. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was an excellent purchase. She was impressed by its sleek design.
The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was a reasonable price for a cot featuring such innovative features. She liked how it was positioned in her bedroom, and thought the grey color would work in most modern homes. However, she pointed out that it's not an ideal idea to rock a young baby as it could set an unhealthy habit that can affect later sleep patterns.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It features a drop side rail that is easily lowered for nighttime feeds without having to wake your child or get them out of bed it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during naps or for travel.
We love the fact that it's made of soft materials that have breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and comfort. It's available in oak and charcoal, with a range of melange fabrics that blend well with most decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when attached to her bed, with the legs securely snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured for baby-safety. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer support number in case you encounter any issues.
Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a crib for your bed, like being able to be connected to your existing bed with a stay-in place connection system and six height levels, the CoZee has an additional incline option that can be used to help ease reflux or congestion in infants. It is also machine-washable - a must for all the dribbles and snot that accompany a new baby!
The CoZee is an excellent choice for keeping your child in the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. It can also be transformed into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. And while it isn't able to feed your baby, or magically sleep them it will gently rock them to send them off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, however it comes with a lot of features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism to open and close the side panel. It's easy to operate even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure place under any bed.
Our testers were impressed by the ease of access provided by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and downwards with just one click of a button. This was particularly helpful at night, as they could reach inside and pick their baby up without disturbing them up.
The side panel can be lifted by itself, too, but it's not recommended since it increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. The safety locking system ensures that the side panel will only remain in place if it's attached correctly to the parent's mattress. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace mind, especially in the case of breastfeeding and frequent night feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers thanks to the telescopic legs. It features a tilting feature for reflux babies, and an option to rock to ease them into sleep after eating. It is also very spacious and has excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.
Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it comes with a long instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers however, it is easily moved from one area to another. It's small enough to fit in a travel bag when not in use which is a bonus in the event that you have to transport it. The only issue our testers have found is that the side panel didn't flex as much compared to other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to observe your baby from the bed.
The Shnuggle Air
The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great choice when you're looking for a crib that can grow with your child. It's a sleeper crib that can be attached securely to your bed and can be converted into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and enhancing the bond you have with your baby's new.
Unlike some other models of bedside crib The Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh side panels and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby or comfort them during the night.
The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to begin. It took us about an hour to assemble, and was relatively simple. The only drawback to the instructions was that certain images did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, the procedure was easy and the materials used were of top quality.
